Robotics & Coding I - AGES 8-14
Robotics and Coding I teaches the engineering design process, teamwork, and coding and robotics skills such as loops, switches, autonomous control, motor control, sensor use, gear ratios, torque, and simple machines. Students apply these skills to complete robotics missions. Skills taught in this class are directly applicable to popular robotics competitions and to careers in engineering and other STEM fields.

Robotics and 3D Printing, AGEs 10-16
Students in Robotics and 3D Printing will design 3d modeled "missions" for our robotics programs. They will progress from designing simple license plates for class bots to 3d models with moving parts. Students apply 3D printing best practices and use OnShape, a parametric Computer Aided Design software. This course teaches engineering design and the benefits of additive manufacturing in the engineering design process.

Robotics Jr - AGES 6-8
Robotics Jr is designed specifically for our youngest engineers, ages 6-8. Our students learn robotics concepts such as gear ratios, torque, gear boxes, linkages, and electrical and mechanical systems. Students practice measuring, and recording data, while developing writing and math skills. They learn the engineering design process and work as part of a team to complete design challenges.

Robot Mechanics - AGES 8-14
Hands-On Mechanical Engineering for Kids — No Coding
Robot Mechanics is a hands-on engineering class where students explore how machines move and function by designing, building, and testing mechanical systems using gears, motors, and structures.
This class is ideal for hands-on learners and builders who enjoy designing and testing real-world mechanical systems. Robot Mechanics builds problem-solving skills, teamwork, and engineering confidence, and pairs well with coding or robotics classes as a strong foundation.

Robotics & Coding II - AGES 9-15
Robotics and Coding II has been replaced with our Intramural Robotics Team, meeting twice weekly. This class is for older students ready to tackle advanced robotics challenges, with or without prior experience. Students will learn and apply coding and engineering skills through hands-on robot design and programming.
