Code N Bots Homeschool Program offers a Code N Bots Competition Team as an intensive learning experience designed for engineers who have already mastered robotics basics and now want to put their skills to the test against other community and school teams. Teams work together to design and code Spike Prime or EV3 robots to complete robotics missions. Teams meet weekly in two 90-minute sessions, totaling three hours, through completion of the state competition in March. Thereafter, teams meet once weekly through mid-May. They participate in field trips, development of a team project, and weekend competitions.
Paying the registration fee of $420 reserves your place on the team. In addition, monthly tuition is $198, and parent volunteer time is required. The only additional costs are personal travel costs and food at competitions. T shirts, presentation materials, and competition fees (through the state competition) are all included in the registration fee. If the team qualifies for further competitions additional fees will be required.
Limit: 10 students.
